The Three Best Laser Facials For Anti-Aging

Anti-Aging is one of those buzzwords you can’t help but hear everywhere. Everyone wants to slow down the signs of aging, and there’s a never-ending supply of promising treatments and products, but which one is right for you? The problem with a one size fits all solution is it often doesn’t take in a variety of factors that affect your skin. With the proper treatment for your specific skin concerns, you’ll be sporting that youthful glow in no time.

Here are our three favorite laser treatments for anti-aging

Clear & Brilliant and Fraxel Laser

Laser Facials are all the rage right now (thank you to Jennifer Aniston). Laser treatments have the ability to completely transform your skin— and not just the skin on your face. Fraxel is commonly used to treat not only the face, but also the neck, décolletage, hands, and arms. The energy from both lasers use heat to destroy the pigmented cells, this causes the skin to stimulate the growth of new, healthy skin cells to replace the old ones. Clear & Brilliant is called the “baby Fraxel” here in our office, it combats aging and is a great preventative treatment for patients that are just starting to see the signs of aging.

These resurfacing treatments are perfect for reducing the appearance of wrinkles and even erasing sun damage. Unlike ablative lasers, these non-invasive treatments are considered to be a fractional skin resurfacing treatment, meaning that it only targets a fraction of skin at a time for a pain-free, low-to-no downtime experience.

LED Light Therapy

While this light-based treatment isn’t technically a laser, it’s still one of our all-time favorite procedures for enhancing your skin. Utilizing colored wavelengths (red for aging concerns and blue for acne prone patients), this quick and proven procedure rejuvenates damaged skin cells and encourages cellular growth and turnover by converting the light into energy that produces elastin and collagen. A warm light-emitting device is placed around the face for 20 minutes, and then you’re good to go— it’s really that easy. We love this as an add-on to any facial with our Clinical Aesthetician.

We recommend regular use of LED Light Therapy, and patients can expect to see a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improved skin tone and reduced pore size.

SkinPen with Autologous Conditioned Plasma

SkinPen, also known as microneedling offers many anti-aging benefits: it’s used to treat and improve conditions like acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, brown spots, stretch marks, and pigment issues. By injuring the skin and forcing regrowth, microneedling increases the production of collagen.

When you add Autologous Conditioned Plasma, you have your blood drawn, and then spun to isolate the growth factors from the red and white blood cells, and then the separated growth factors are injected back into your skin via microneedling.  Since the plasma is high in growth factor and the microneedling stimulates the skin to regenerate, the procedure aids in cell turnover.
