How Renuvion by J-Plasma Tissue Tightening Works

The Renuvion by J-Plasma procedure relies on cold plasma energy to give you the results you’re looking for. This substance is created when helium gas is energized by radiofrequency (RF) waves, the resulting plasma is delivered through our Renuvion device. Because helium gas is very stable, it can be ionized at very low energy levels ensuring flexible, precise, and safe delivery. Cold plasma is cooler than a laser, making it much safer on your skin. During a body treatment, a small hidden incision is strategically placed near the treated area and a probe is inserted under the skin. Cold plasma is then delivered to the area, tightening and rejuvenating your skin.

Recovery Time

Following your treatment, we will provide you with a compression garment to wear which should remain on your treatment area for 72 hours. Healing occurs from the inside out after a Renuvion by J-Plasma treatment. Immediately after your session, you should expect to see mild swelling and bruising, not unlike a moderate sunburn. After 1-2 weeks, this should fade, leaving you with the great-looking skin you have been seeking. You should be able to resume your normal activities in a day or so.

Expected Results

There will usually be an immediate tightening of the tissue after the procedure. This occurs in response to the cold plasma energy used by the Renuvion device. Over time, your skin will continue to improve as you heal from the procedure.
