Micro-Needling, which is also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a treatment where controlled and precise micro-injuries are made to the skin resulting in new collagen and elastin. Micro-Needling treats fine lines and wrinkles, skin laxity, texture, tone, color, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, and overall skin rejuvenation. Micro-Needling creates micro-channels which allow topical gels, creams or Autologous Conditioned Plasma (ACP) to be absorbed more effectively, multiplying collagen production leaving the skin tighter, lighter, and brighter! This treatment is great on all skin types and is done in a series of 3-6 treatments. The SkinPen^(®) treatment can be done on the face, neck, chest, hands, back, and abdomen.

When you schedule your SkinPen^(®) & ACP appointment, you will be asked to discontinue the use of any active ingredients for 1 week prior to your procedure. Hydroquinone products can be continued up until the day before your procedure, however, all other active ingredients such as, but not limited to RetinA and Glycolic Acid should be discontinued. You will arrive at your appointment 30 minutes prior to your scheduled procedure time for a topical numbing cream to be applied. A small amount of blood will be drawn and put into a centrifuge to separate your plasma from other components of the blood, which will then be penetrated into the skin during your SkinPen^(®) treatment.
