The SF | Bay Area Plastic Surgery Difference

Brazilian buttocks lift surgery is a common procedure that Dr. Fazilat performs in his practice. Typically, operations are performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia with a board certified anesthesiologist; surgical times are 2 to 3.5 hours. During the surgery, Dr. Fazilat will make several small incisions in order to harvest the fat. Once the fat has been harvested, the pure fat is then injected in the desired/planned area to achieve an aesthetically pleasing and shapely backside. Many of Dr. Fazilat’s patients also have their Brazilian buttocks lift surgery combined with other procedures, such as breast augmentation, breast lift, a mommy makeover, or liposuction for a more enhanced overall appearance.

Recovering From a Brazilian Butt Lift at SF | Bay Area Plastic Surgery

After Brazilian buttocks lift surgery, you are encouraged to walk the evening of your surgery to prevent possible blood clots. You will be placed in a form-fitting compression garment, which is to be worn for 2 weeks. Patients can typically return to work within 7 to 10 days, though strenuous activity should be avoided for 4-6 weeks. You should also have a responsible adult stay with you for 24 hours following the surgery to monitor recovery.

Sutures are removed one week after the procedure. Any post-operative pain, swelling and/or, sensitivity will commonly diminish over the first few weeks. Scars from incisions begin to fade in a few months.

Dr. Fazilat will schedule a follow-up post-recovery office visit to discuss your progress.
